Warner Bros. Records has confirmed that Prince's iconic Warner Brothers Records catalog will be available for streaming across all digital services.The release was set to coincide with the Grammy Awards.
According to Cameron Strang, Chairman & CEO of Warner Bros. Records said that Prince had recorded some of his most influential and popular music when he was with Warner Bros and therefore it was their responsibility to preserve, safeguard and nurture Prince's incredible legacy. They are thrilled to be sharing the music with people worldwide by allowing it to be streamed. They also extended their thanks to Prince's estate, Universal Music Publishing, the Grammy awards and all of the streaming services for their collaboration in this remarkable event.
Not only that, he also announced that they plan to remaster Purple Rain, Prince's most iconic album. Two more albums consisting of unreleased Prince music and two complete concert films from the Paisley Park vault are also set to be released on June the 9th.
