Kyo KL along with Plural Asia bring you a night of unadulterated trance plea- sure featuring legendary DJ, producer, record label owner, scene pioneer and all round good bloke...SOLARSTONE!
There are not many corners of the world or super clubs nor are there any electronic music publications that have not had an unforgettable blast of the Solarstone experience. Forget the countless nominations, awards and plau- dits he has been bestowed by media, industry professional and fans. Lets not even talk about the genre defining and record breaking Pure Trance compilation series beloved around the planet. We know and love Richard Mowatt aka Solarstone because he plain and simply rocks the dancefloor whether its a superclub in London, a beach party in Ibiza, a massive festival in the heart of Brazil or a throbbing bush party in Australia!
Solarstone behind a pair of CDJs is something that every electronic dance music lover, planet-wide, should witness at least once in their clubbing careers.
Richard brings together a clear love of melody with an intrinsic, per
ceptive aptitude for floor-quaking performances.
His massive sold out shows
everywhere is a testament to his global fanbase leaving an indelible mark after every set.
Almost 20 years ago, his seminal anthem Seven Cities announced the true arrival of a trance powerhouse. The track - one of, if not the first Balearic Trance anthems - has been re-released 3 times and has sold in excess of 1⁄2 million copies. Remixed in 2002 by Armin van Buuren, its an instantly recog- nizable sunset-sound legacy that can still be heard in tracks today.  His dominance and relevance in the scene is clear today as it was back then with his latest Pure Trance Volume 6 and Pure Trance
Volume 5 mixes win-ning top plaudits in the Trance Podium Awards of the last two years.
Very few DJs and producers can lay claim to always being ahead of the curve constantly reviving and redefining this powerhouse genre as Solarstone does. This will be a night to remember as he takes charge of the immense Void Sound System speakers of Kyo to bring you anthem after anthem in a way only he can.

BIOGRAPHY:
Classic trance heads will definitely recall producer Solarstone’s Seven Cities from way back in 1999, among the first of the Balearic trance anthems, which has been re-released three times and now sold in excess of half a million copies. Remixed by Armin van Buuren amongst others, its instantly recogniz- able sunset/sunrise-sound legacy is still heard in tracks today.
Richard Mowatt, commonly known by his stage name Solarstone (formerly spelled Solar Stone), is an English trance DJ and producer from Birming-ham. The music project Solarstone was founded as a trio, and also used the pseudonyms Young Parisians, Liquid State and Z2. Over the years, Solarstone has developed a reputation for keeping to the original and classic trance sound.

With the albums Anthology One, RainStarsEternal, Anthology One, Touch- stone, Pure and most recently the cryptically titled “- - - - ” he’s also released a quintet of critically revered long players. Having championed trance’s true nature from his very first release, the last five years have seen Solarstone push its origin sound, almost singlehandedly, back to the top of the genre’s agenda.

Within its first year, Solarstone’s ideology of Pure Trance had developed into a bona fide musical movement. It’s one which has been captured by a major
a mix-compilation series, worldwide Pure Trance club and festival shows, the Pure Trance and Pure Progressive record labels and its weekly radio show.

Now standing at five volumes, the Solarstone Presents Pure Trance series has seen him team up with co-mixing like minds including Giuseppe Ottaviani, Orkidea, Bryan Kearney, Gai Barone, Sneijder and Forerunners to mix-comp- define the movement’s sound.
Having now touched every electronic music capital, the Pure Trance tour has
sold-out shows in spots including Miami, Ibiza, Amsterdam, New York, Los Angeles and Sydney, at festivals including Tomorrowland, Cream Ibiza, A State Of Trance, Global Gathering, TomorrowWorld, Stereosonic, FSOE and numerous others.
Pure Trance Radio is now broadcast across some 30 plus FM & Internet sta- tions to a listenership now in excess of 8 million worldwide.

With the launch of Pure Trance Recordings and its sub-label Pure Progres- sive, the PureTrance label group has risen to a position as one of the best sellers on Beatport. In partnership with esteemed Dutch music house Black Hole Recordings, it brought a label platform to the movement’s most gifted music makers.
