The first celebratory release is a very special re-release and remix package of "See You Next Tuesday," her 2014 collaboration with longtime friend and legendary DJ, Carl Cox. Remixers for the EP out on December 1 include (in alphabetical order) Black Asteroid, Danny Tenaglia, Raxon, Solardo, Truncate and Trunkline who each give their own spin on one of MOOD Records' most popular releases. Later that month, Nicole also releases a commemorative compilation album, Mood50: The Best of Mood, Mixed and Compiled by Nicole Moudaber on December 15. The 17 track compilation mixed and compiled by Nicole herself is the culmination of countless hours overseeing MOOD Records for the past five years showcasing both established and up and coming talent on the label since its inception in 2013. Nicole's well trained ears and knack for A&R, launching and nurturing the careers of hotly tipped producers such as Marino Canal results in a steady stream of quality music. She's able to test the unreleased music while on the road on dancefloors around the world and on her weekly global radio show,In The MOOD broadcasted globally to 20 million fans in over 50 countries. Mood50 features tracks from Nicole Moudaber as well her peers Pan-Pot, Scuba, Victor Calderone, and Skin from popular UK rock band Skunk Anansie who Nicole collaborated with on the critically acclaimed experimental BREED EP. Fans will be taken on a journey as the compilation twists and turns through the label's exploration in sound, taking in influences from house and techno, and the many amalgamations between the two ends of this wide spectrum. "I can't believe it's been nearly 5 years since we first launched MOOD Records" Nicole shares. "It's been a labor of love and looking back at our 50 releases I feel an immense amount of pride and joy that all the releases can stand the test of time. It's a great platform and creative outlet for me -- if the music is good, then it needs to be heard. If I'm playing it during my sets or on my radio show, then I would release it. I'm excited to share what we have in store from both industry veterans and undiscovered new talent making an impact on the dancefloor where it counts." The releases coincide with a rare extended UK tour, with the unstoppable techno machine bringing her unique sets to some of the best venues across the country, including her own curated MoodRAW event at Glasgow's SWG3 with dance veteran Heidi and MOOD favorite Marino Canal. Now, to celebrate his eighth consecutive Top 20 spot in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll, Dash Berlin delivers new single 'Love Out Loud', which shows exactly how he managed to remain at the pinnacle of the scene throughout the years and why his reign won't be coming to an end any time soon.
Listen to Dash Berlin feat. Arjay and Jonah – Love Out Loud While beautifully strummed guitars and waves of summer vibes make the original version of 'Love Out Loud' lean toward a more tender side to the Dutchman's signature sound, the Club Mix hammers down in "regular" Dash Berlin fashion. Both melodically impeccable and complementary to each other, those two versions make 'Love Loud Out' another grand addition to the Dash Berlin arsenal. Securing the twentieth spot in this year's DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, Dash Berlin is the main supplier of some of the most iconic songs in dance music history. In between a dazzling tour schedule with headline slots at prestigious clubs and leading festivals such as Ultra, Electric Love and EDC, he drops insanely infectious originals on a regular basis (recently examples include 'Home', 'We Don't Belong' and 'Heaven') and has become a star remixer through his highly acclaimed takes on global hit singles such as Lost Frequencies' 'Are You With Me', Alan Walker's 'Faded' and Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson's 'Symphony'. 'I MISS YOU' FEAT. JULIA MICHAELS (LISTEN HERE) UK HEADLINE TOUR – OCT/NOV 2017 HAMMERSMITH APOLLO - 2ND NOVEMBER (BUY TICKETS) 30 MILLION GLOBAL SINGLE SALES UK hitmakers, Clean Bandit, have today unveiled their new single 'I Miss You' feat. Julia Michaels (listen here). 'I Miss You' not only sees Clean Bandit return with a sentimental, tear-jerking smash and one of the band's most inspired songs to date, but sonically, the band take it back a notch whilst retaining their matchless, experimental sound – something for which has seen the trio become one of the most successful and biggest-selling singles acts of the century. Produced by Jack Patterson and Grace Chatto alongside the band's resident producer, Mark Ralph, vocal duties stem from the inimitable talent that is Julia Michaels. Over the past few years, Michaels has made a name for herself as one of the most in-demand songwriters, penning massive hits like Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' alongside her debut track 'Issues' this year, which has reached multi-platinum status across the globe. Meeting in LA this summer, the two parties joined forces for a writing session shortly after, leading to the birth of 'I Miss You'. Inspired from Julia's personal heartbreak, the new track is certain to resonate with fans across the globe for months to come. Clean Bandit's new single follows an undeniable year for the UK collective. The trio, who have consistently pushed the boundaries of modern pop with their diverse blend of electronic, dancehall, classical, R&B and pop, released their 10 million-selling single 'Rockabye' last year. Shooting to #1in over 40 countries and having spent nine weeks at the top of the charts in the UK, the track became the longest-running UK #1 in 22 years surpassing Wet Wet Wet's 'Love Is All Around'. The single followed their previous hits: the six million-selling 'Symphony' feat. Zara Larsson, which shot to #1 in 20 countries including the UK, and 'Tears' feat. Louisa Johnson. Moreover, the band's 2014 breakthrough single 'Rather Be' feat. Jess Glynne, spawned from their debut album New Eyes, has now surpassed 10 million global sales. This weekend, Clean Bandit will embark on their UK headline tour which will include a sold out show at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Thurs 2nd November. Da Hool may be more well known for the banging style of music he plays during his many gigs across the globe, but his new single shows a side to the German DJ and producer's sound that could very well surprise a lot of people. 'Own The Night', a team-up with the U.S.-based, 17-year-old singer Julia DeTomaso, saw its release today on Amsterdam-based record label Armada Music.
Listen to: Da Hool feat. Julia DeTomaso – Own The Night "'Own The Night' is definitely not like any of my other productions", says Da Hool. "This record is a lot smoother and just a great and all-around beautiful track that keeps listeners warm on those cold, dark winter nights. I really wanted to do a song like this for a long time, and I'm really glad it with the end result." Born Frank Tomiczek, Da Hool was one of the flagbearers of the underground Techno movement in the '90s. Since, he has remained one of the scene's most prolific artists, boasting a variety of highly acclaimed productions ranging from the legendary 'Meet Her At The Love Parade' to his remix of Armada van Helden's 'Funk Phenomena'. Now, with performances at festivals such as Parookaville and Tomorrowland under his belt and a brand-new album in the works, Da Hool shows that he still belongs to the absolute DJ and producer elite. He is ready to 'Own The Night' like never before. What can you say when two of the most respected and seminal artists come together for one special musical moment? You can say, Oh Yes, Oh Yes, the rumors are true! Carl Cox and Nile Rodgers are finally set to release their first ever collaboration, "Beat the Track" [BUSH Records] which has dual premieres today on both Pete Tong's BBC Radio One show as his 'Essential New Tune' and on Spotify's most followed electronic playlist Mint.
So, what does this union of legends sound like? Driving rhythms that build and build while Nile's guitar weaves a story only it can tell. It is one of those songs that truly has the magic of both artists layered in equal parts, a song that will resonate with fans of each because it truly captures both Carl and Nile's purity of sound. The brilliance of what they have created is that it just feels so good when you listen- like two friends finishing each other's sentences. Music that is good for the soul. The story of how this collaboration came to be is just as inspired as the song itself. Carl met Nile on stage at Ultra Music Festival a few years back as both have been long time fans of each other for years, but had never met. This encounter seemed to spark the creative juices and suddenly align both men in just the right places at the just right times across the globe and, as fate always has it, the two found themselves alone together in a hotel lobby in the Isle of White. The rest, as they say, is history. It's heartening to know that artists of Carl and Nile's caliber can be humbled by one another's work and be able to express this without one shred of ego. The best testament to this is Carl himself recounting the actual moment Nile suggested they collaborate along with the unfiltered story of this two-year journey. Hear Carl tell the story on Billboard Dance (starts at 21:45) This is a special one to be sure, so please spread the word and the love on this legendary collaboration. Beat the Track premieres this Friday, October 27 as the 'Essential New Tune' on Pete Tong's BBC Radio One program and the streaming premiere happens on Spotify's most followed electronic music playlist Mint. 2017 has been a huge year for the UK bass duo DISKORD. Just a matter of days ago, the world got a taste of something new. Something exciting. It was something that titillated the eardrums in such a way that we needed more to keep our appetite satisfied. Well, now it is here: Incline by D.O.D on Axtone rec.
Dan O’Donnell’s cornered the market when it comes to UK influenced jacking house/bass/electro, coining his sound “Future Jack”, with releases on all the prime dance labels including Axtone, Size, Spinnin, Doorn and Wall and he’s back at it with “Incline”. The track is characterised by its groovy and energetic vibe, moving on with punchy kicks and a infectious synth-line that paves the way for the and propulsive drop, which is filled with D.O.D.’s signature rhythmic old-skool, tech-trance/hard grooves. written by : Simona Closing out a year that saw a co-writing credits on Khalid's smash "Location," production credits for Thatshymn, D.R.A.M, H.E.R, Sango, and Elujay, and a residency at NYC's legendary Blue Note Jazz Club, singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Chris McClenney is releasing his final single of the year titled "I Ain't."
A continuation of his now established sound that fuses Soul, R&B, Bass, Jazz, Electronic, and Hip-Hop elements, "I Ain't" again features McClenney's top-line that alternates between smooth vocals and a rhythmic Hip-Hop vocal delivery. The single also features a myriad of organic instrumentation including drums, piano, and guitar. Another ballad to add to McClenney's constantly expanding discography, "I Ain't" is the ideal laid-back groove to close out the year. If unfamiliar with McClenney before now, 2017 saw the release of critically praised debut artist EP "Portrait In Two" that received positive reviews from outlets including FADER, Okayplayer, Solange's Saint Heron, and more. In addition, to his solo work and many collaborations this year, he also was invited by Spotify to do a rendition of Childish Gambino's "Redbone" as one of their "Spotify Singles" that has clocked in over a million plays. He also could be caught live alongside singer-songwriter Bibi Bourelly as part of Red Bull Sound Select tour. Up next for McClenney, he is gearing up for the release of a soon-to-be announce EP out in early 2018.
