It's not unlikely to see a musical connection bring people together, turning a brief encounter into a blossoming partnership. Such is also the case with Dirtcaps and Dutch singer-songwriter Jantine, for whom new single 'Need A Friend' marks another chapter in their long-lasting friendship and artistic synergy.
Listen to Dirtcaps feat. Jantine – Need A Friend
A record impossible not to like, 'Need A Friend' features Jantine's sugar-coated vocals alongside a mash of incredible synth soars and swell rhythms. Much like a pat on the shoulder when times get rough, this song offers empowering music on speed dial whenever you 'Need a Friend'.
"'Need A Friend' is really just a link-up between friends", Dirtcaps explain. "We have a long history with Jantine and worked with her on a lot of tracks, including our collaboration with Coone called 'Sniper'. We feel she is one of the most talented singers and writers in our country."
"In the studio, we discussed the subject of the track to great extent. We all have friends that go through hard times and you just want to let them know you are there for them. Jantine's voice adds vulnerability and power to the track and that's what we love about it. With more melody and more of a "mainstage" feel to it than our usual work, this record means a lot to us and suits our sets for the full one-hundred percent."

Adrian is fresh face in Swedish club music but it's no possible to

With a legacy in dance music, author Michael Tullberg delivers a beautiful book of essays about being a raver and the common threads that bind us all. The various authors of the book reveal their personal experiences and deliver poignant revelations on just how life-altering and important the rave scene was, and still is, for them.
THE RAVER STORIES PROJECT is the book that reveals the rave scene as it really was and is, compiled and edited by one of the ultimate rave insiders—dance music photojournalist Michael Tullberg. Having worked for virtually all the major electronic music magazines of the period, such as URB, MIXER, BPM Culture and Insider, Tullberg has long been dissatisfied with the mainstream public's negative perception of raving. In late 2016, he put out a Call for Story Submissions to the electronic music community, asking for their most memorable, exciting and even transformative experiences in the rave scene. The response he got was nothing less than phenomenal.
Tullberg received stories from around the world, ranging in time from the original UK rave explosion in the late 1980s until the present day. The scope of the stories is impressively wide, including warehouse parties, desert raves, mansion parties, underground clubs, and much more. Tales came in about the over-the-top lunacy of Electric Daisy Carnival, the elite VIP room at Ministry of Sound London, and the desert wastes of Burning Man, among many others.
"There's never been an American book about electronic music like this one," said Tullberg. "Never before have fans of electronic music banded together to tell their stories of what the rave scene is really like, and why it means so much to them. For the first time, their voices can now be heard as a legitimate and productive counter to the negatively-tinged narrative found in much of the mainstream media." -Author, Michael Tullberg
The personal experiences of the raver authors are often eye-opening, such as the stories from survivors of emotional and physical abuse who found solace in the healing arms of the rave scene. One account is from a Chicano DJ and producer who credits the rave scene from saving him from the clutches of gang life. Another tells of a desert party blasted by a midnight sandstorm. Along the way, the reader experiences the growth and development of the scene itself, from its underground beginnings to the mammoth festivals of today. THE RAVER STORIES PROJECT is an important account of our collective rave history and the evolution of electronic music entertainment.
THE RAVER STORIES PROJECT contains thirty essays over 250 pages. It is the genuine article, a true representation of a cultural and musical revolution.
THE RAVER STORIES PROJECT is released under Tullberg's own 5150 Publishingimprint today, August 15th.
A release party is planned in Los Angeles on September 9. For more information click here.

Multiple GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer/director/musician Bruno Mars has teamed up with singer/actress Zendaya to release the highly anticipated video for his RIAA-certified Gold single, "Versace On The Floor." Directed by Bruno Mars and Cameron Duddy, the sensual clip stars Mars and Zendaya both dressed in Versace.
Most recently, Mars made headlines for being the ONLY artist in the past year to have two RIAA-certified 4X Platinum singles ("24K Magic" and "That's What I Like") from one album, his critically-acclaimed 2x Platinum 24K Magic.
Mars' third studio album, 24K Magic recently received a RIAA 2x platinum certification for sales and streams in excess of two million. In addition, the collection's first two smash singles, "24K Magic" and "That's What I Like," have both now been certified 4x platinum, with sales and streams of more than 4 million units each. What's more, Mars is the first artist to have two songs spend 24 or more weeks in the Hot 100's top 5 ("That's What I Like" and "Uptown Funk"). Additionally, Bruno is now the only artist in the last year to have two quadruple-platinum singles from the same album.
Earlier this summer, Mars claimed his first-ever BET Award victory for "Best R&B/Pop Male Artist," and also won the "Video Of The Year" award for "24K Magic." Most recently, Bruno received the Teen Choice
Visionary Award honoring his innovation and contributions to contemporary music. Additionally, Mars received an impressive four MTV Video Music Awards nominations, including the coveted Artist Of The Year category. The 2017 Video Music Awards will air August 27th on MTV.
Mars is currently traveling North America on his hugely popular "24K Magic Tour". Produced by Live Nation, the massive global headline tour will culminate in early November with an eagerly awaited four-night stand at Los Angeles, CA's The Forum. Maya Jane Coles' 'Weak/Werk EP' gets the remix treatment from heavyweights Tiger Stripes and M.F.S: Observatory who contribute two hard-hitting, fiery club cuts
Maya Jane Coles will drop two heady remixes of 'Weak/Werk EP' courtesy of Tiger Stripes and M.F.S: Observatory - just in time for her much anticipated second album, 'Take Flight'.
With both 'Won't Let You Down EP' (the first EP to be taken from the forthcoming album) and 'Weak/Werk EP' (the second) accumulating widespread attention and support from DJs like Pete Tong in the clubs and on the airwaves, anything Maya releases in the run up to 'Take Flight' is certain to turn into gold.
With a stunning visual asset created by The Fashton's for the 'Weak' Single, which creates a high level of intimacy with Maya Jane Coles performing to the camera for the first time. Longtime collaborator Fiona Garden and one half of The Fashtons' tells us 'This is Maya letting you in, telling you secrets'.
'Weak/Werk Remixes' is no exception and employs the talents of Swedish heavyweight Tiger Stripes who reimagines 'Weak' into a heavy, hazy prime-time club cut – abound with stomping kick drums and hypnotic atmospherics - while Italian house duo M.F.S: Observatory step up to transform 'Weak' into a fizzing display of jittering percussion, chopped vocals and heavy dance floor momentum.
Packed to the brim with enough energy to leave even the tamest party in a state of sweaty excitement, 'Weak/Werk Remixes' is the perfect bridge to Maya's outstanding second album, 'Take Flight', due to drop later this month.

After collaborating with some of the biggest stars of today, Lotus added two brilliant names to the star-studded list. Today, his new single called 'Champagne On Me' hits Armada Deep, which features none other than Arlissa and triple Grammy nominee Flo Rida.
Listen to Lotus feat. Arlissa & Flo Rida – Champagne On Me
Perfect for a summer spent poolside, 'Champagne On Me' not only turns heads with its addictive synths plucks and light-hearted vibes, but also with Arlissa's halcyon vocals and Flo Rida complementing raps. The dancehall-infused record - which also comes with remixes from respectively Big Beat and Cologne-based duo Bodybangers - brings the island vibes to the sound of today and makes for a particularly efficient summer anthem.
Seeing his productions critically acclaimed across Latin America, the U.S.A., Europe and Japan, Lotus managed to join forces with a host of superstars. He has worked with the likes of Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, Nicky Minaj, Pitbull, Sean Paul, Snoop Dogg and more, and racked up over four million streams on Spotify with 'Push It!' (with SPYZR and Salt-N-Pepa), his previous release on Armada.
German-American singer-songwriter Arlissa was named one of BBC's one to watch for 2013 and scored her biggest hit in 2013 with 'Sticks And Stones' (#48 UK Singles chart) The song spent three weeks in the Top 100 and was covered by Nelly Furtado for her sixth studio album, The Ride.
Born Tramar Lacel Dillard, Flo Rida counts as one of the most sought-after hip-hop acts of today. 'Low' (feat. T-Pain), the first official single of the American rapper and songwriter, was released in 2007 and became a full-fledged smash hit, topping the Billboard chart (Billboard Hot 100) and selling over seven million copies worldwide. Since, Flo Rida has sold over 80 million singles with global hits such as the before-mentioned 'Low', 'Right Round' and 'Whistle', making him one of the bestselling artists of today.
