Wired Music Week (WMW), Asia’s largest electronic music conference presents the second edition of its Get Wired Virtual Music Conference on 16th and 17th July 2020. This 2 day virtual event will feature over 60 speakers from across 17 countries speaking on 20 various panels, keynotes and more. Get Wired 002 (GWC 002) will cover topics across three of WMW key content pillars - Get Wired (overall industry conversations), Get Wired Black (underground electronic music industry)n and Connect (spotlight on a country or region). This second edition will present these three pillars with it’s own theme: Pillar: Get Wired Theme: New Horizons - exploring the new opportunities and horizons for artists and the electronic music industry. Pillar: Get Wired Black Theme: We Are Family - discussions regarding regional collaborations and partnerships as the key to robust health in the underground electronic music scene. Pillar: Connect France (In partnership with The French Embassy of Singapore and Le Bureau Export) Theme: The French Touch - A spotlight on the French Electronic Music Scene through it’s music, collectives, creatives and industry players. Three keynote interviews to look out for are featuring world renowned DJ duo Showtek from Holland who speak about their two decades of staying ahead of the game being a multi genre artist, Caroline Champanaurd, Director of International Development, SACEM who will highlight how they operate as a pioneering music and publishing rights collection body and also Nico Perez , the co-founder of Mixcloud, who will be speaking exclusively about the latest most exciting streaming service for creators, Mixcloud Live. Another panel definitely worth looking out for is one entitled The Art of Discovering Next Generation Talent which features esteemed music curators for some of the biggest music festivals around, Mysteryland (Holland), Awakenings (Holland) and VH1 Supersonic India. Elsewhere industry experts from Clockenflap Music & Arts Festival (Hong Kong), Days Like This Festival (Sydney) and Kolour In The Park (Thailand) discuss the economic sustainability of the events scene opening again post pandemic. Some of France’s top collectives and organizations including Roche Musique and Rinse France will take to another panel to talk about the amazing electronic scene from France and how it is marketed and experienced throughout the world. Participants i n the virtual conference will also be given access to exclusive virtual 1-on-1 live networking chat areas throughout the 2 days giving opportunities to create connections for work and increasing their professional or social circles. “We have worked hard over the last few weeks to put together an impressive list of international speakers and panel content for our audience.
