A platinum-selling artist with the super group Swedish House Mafia alongside Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell, they became a formidable force in the dance music scene before splitting back in in 2013. ‘Wild Youth’ isn’t just Steve Angello’s first solo album, it’s a self-portrait of a superstar who’s matured with a newfound sense of confidence as an artist. This album was accompanied, upon release, by a series of music videos that functioned as a documentary. Steve took to Facebook to share with the world that he is now working on and producing a new Documentary titled ‘The Last Free Space‘. "The last free space" is an unflinchingly honest portrayal of a group of isolated community of people labeled as outcasts or runaways in Slab City, California. It reveals their courage and resilience, as they strive to reconstruct their own lives some choose to stay there simply to avoid 21st century civilisation. Written by: Simona Continuously reimagining his sound and style, the Grammy-winning artist Sharam digs deep into his bag of production tricks for his new project Collecti (pronounced "collect-eye"), drawing heavily from the darker influences of techno. The album is comprised of a host of new material that he has been field testing with incredible response. "Collecti is a culmination of work that represents my endeavors into a sound that has always been near and dear to my heart and central to my sets: Techno. For my last al-bum Retroactive, I was fixated on all of my influences over the years, for this album, however, my focus is on the darker realms. These records are my dance floor experi-ments, my secret weapons, tracks that have been driving my sets and I'm excited to share this body of work with everyone." - Sharam Sonically, Collecti is more Detroit than Berlin, employing swung grooves wrought from Sharam's extensive journeys in house and applying them to dark, twisted sound design and abstract, pulsating beats. That's not to say that there's no melody on Collecti, but what's there is presented more as deconstruction than outright delivery. From the roar-ing sounds and rolling bass of "Scorpi" to the dubbed-out minimal vibe of "Mini" to the trippy acid sounds of "Napoli," the ideas throughout Collecti reflect different aspects of Sharam's roots in the underground. Also featured on Collecti, are 4 classics from Sha-ram's "i" series including "Texi," "Hemi" "Crazi," and Tripi." The symbolic "i" is a classifi-cation statement within Sharam's repertoire, one that declares 'this track was meant for club use only.' With his focus entirely on the dance floor, Sharam solidifies his masterful ear as one of a tastemaker. Sharam's unique production style, along with a diverse list of accomplishments in the international charts and underground realms, has solidified him as a true non-conformist and innovator in dance music - both as a solo artist and as part of the legendary group Deep Dish. His eclectic DJ sets are a journey through sound, with razor-sharp focus to quality and obsessive attention to entertaining both purists and the unassuming. In Sha-ram's mind, dance music is meant for everyone, and forward motion is only possible through cross-pollination of styles. When he's not on the road or in the studio, Sharam is helming his record label Yoshitoshi, proving that after 20 years, the classic label is a force for the ages. Collecti will be released in three parts over the course of Summer 2017, with a full mixed version and bonus material arriving in October, just in time for ADE. Of his experience remixing Mars’ hit single, “I’m super proud that I had the opportunity to work with Bruno Mars on ‘Versace on the Floor.’ It is more than a remix; it is a collaboration and combination of different worlds together. My goal was to make it more dance and DJ friendly, but still respect the music that he came with, and keep the song and his voice in tact because it’s so beautiful. I hoped to create something that would not just be for one community, just like Bruno makes quality music that speaks to a wide audience. He’s really a next level musician and songwriter. I knew that already, but by working on his music I realized it even more so. ” Recently, Guetta and Mars opened and closed (respectively) the Billboard Music Awards, with Guetta performing “Light My Body Up” alongside frequent collaborator Nicki Minaj, and Mars closing the show with the television debut of “Versace On The Floor.” Bruno Mars gave an electrifying opening performance on Sunday night at the BET Awards and won his first BET Award for Best R&B/Pop Male Artist. MORE ON BRUNO MARS: WEBSITE YOUTUBE MORE ON DAVID GUETTA: WEBSITE YOUTUBE South London multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer Jax Jones is riding high following the worldwide success of smash single 'You Don't Know Me' featuring BBC Sound of 2017 nominee and future star Raye, and looks set to continue his winning streak with his brand new single 'Instruction'. 'Nothing says summer to me more than Notting Hill Carnival,' Jax says of his new single. 'That was the mental image I used throughout the making of this song. I took the idea to my good friend MNEK and the song came together really quickly. The DJ is the controller of the dance floor and lyrically, I wanted to reflect that; hence why we're giving instructions! Enlisting global pop star Demi Lovato and the UK's fiercest MC Stefflon Don 'Instruction' is an empowering percussion led call to the dancefloor. 'B*tch I don't need introduction' Lovato snaps, whilst Steff delivers fiery 'bad gal' bars that leave you in no double, she really is the Don. 'I wanted to continue where I left off with 'You Don't Know Me', Jax explains. 'We knew we needed someone with a certain level of swag and confidence to pull off a song like this so we sent it to Demi Lovato to see if she was interested. I thought it was a long shot but she loved the record and delivered us all the right feels in the vocal. Stefflon Don is one of the most exciting new rappers to come out of the UK today, so getting her on a song with a pop superstar like Demi is a defining moment for me as a fan of music. I love clashing genres together. It's one of those collaborations which is as exciting on paper as it sounds on record. I can't wait to play this song at my festival shows this summer!" These influences come through both in the studio and in his wild live sets – most recently in his sold out 'House Work' UK tour –where he helms all the instruments himself, layering them upon beats and bass for a fresh, modern take on an old school sound. Prior to 'You Don't Know Me' his biggest success to date had been as the writer and co-producer on Duke Dumont's huge international 2014 hit 'I Got U', which resulted in his first UK No.1 in addition to nominations on both sides of the Atlantic, at the BRIT and Grammy Awards.
