LAURA BREHM NITES ELECTRIC BIRD RECORDS W/ JANEE COLLABORATION 'MAKE IT'

31/5/2019

Best known to fans for her work on Monstercat, Universal, NCS (No Copyright Sounds) and the Rezz hit ‘Melancholy’, US singer-songwriter Laura Brehm releases the first in a major run of original new music on her label Electric Bird Records, the Janee collaboration ‘MakeIt’, out May 24th.

Instantly infectious and drenched in the light summer sunshine that permeates from Brehm's effortless vocal, the single has a delicate pace and energy injected via Janee’s production. Bubbling bass and warm piano interruptions punctuate and propel the single in equal measure, Brehm’s vocal linking the whole piece together, creating a sublime cut that seems to both drift and drive at the same time.

The track’s message is as upbeat in sentiment as it is in composition. Penned by Brehm after her own struggles with anxiety, the single is a love letter to perseverance & self-belief.

‘Make It’ heralds an exciting new chapter for Brehm and Electric Bird Records that will lead into her upcoming debut long player, slated for release Fall of 2019. Having spent the past year intensively studying at London’s prestigious Point Blank Music School honing her production, engineering and live performance skills, fans can expect to see and hear much more of Laura Brehm as the year unfolds.

Blinders pushes the envelope on new STMPD RCRDS single 'Higher Needs'

27/5/2019

Picture
Hold onto your seat! Blinders is back. 'Higher Needs' might just be one of his most explosive tracks to date, and is his second track of the year for STMPD RCRDS following the superb 'Relieve' a couple of months back.

There's so much going on in this track. Huge rave hoovers blast against chunky kicks and ominous bass plucks in the intro as a distorted vocal urges you to "gimme some". A gnarly riff signals the drop, where whizzing synths blast and bend around guttural electro bass grunts, all underpinned by snapping, garage flavoured beats. The fills come thick and fast, keeping the energy high through all manner of percussion rolls and snatches of synths. A slo-mo section timestretches the lead riff to a screeching pace as the rugged bass buzzes away. More trickery awaits as a bubbling bass line emerges while the snares build up the energy, rave stabs chiming in unison. This track is completely off the hook and will keep you guessing every second.

'Higher Needs' was premiered just two weeks ago at a students' festival in Poland in front of an audience of more than 10,000 people. You can only imagine the reactions this insane cut received. Blinders has a busy summer ahead where this track will be sure to get airings at festivals including Mysteryland and Parookaville.

Producer Trio MFMF. Releases Much Awaited Second Single 'Passin' Thru', featuring Daiyan Trisha

Following the release of their debut single 'Flashes' in February 2019 which is currently garnering close to 350,000 streams on all digital platforms, MFMF. is now back again with their long-awaited second single called 'Passin' Thru', this time featuring Malaysian singer-songwriter, Daiyan Trisha.

With its emotionally motivated top-line, 'Passin' Thru' is a melancholic pop duet that delves in on the lowest point of a relationship between two individuals, and serves as an ode to the major theme of love and trust, especially on the theme of reconciliation and perseverance. This song fits many relatable scenarios in real life and serves a heartfelt message to every couple who are going through rough patches in their relationship.

The release of this anthem is only one of the numerous singles being planned out throughout the year for MFMF., and they are not looking to slow down anytime soon.

MFMF.'s latest track will be out this Friday 00:00 GMT+8 >>> https://fanlink.to/passinthru

BARONG FAMILY'S SIHK ACCOMPLISHED MISSION WITH EPIC SIDE QUEST EP

13/5/2019

Booming audiences with his spark of creativity in entertainment while producing music, Barong Family's very own SIHK makes a triumphant return with his Epic Side Quest EP—a energetic, four-part auditory experience that blisters and sears listeners with fiery bass and steely, shivering synths.

Known to amuse his audiences with his quirky and fun personality on social media, it is no surprise when SIHK and his team teased the upcoming EP with a hilarious companion piece. This 5-part video skit chronicles SIHK traversing the world on his own wacky, epic side quest. *Expect cheesy, low budget production cuts that will make you laugh your pants off* This whole skit accompanies not only the artist's persona, but gives viewers a nostalgic throwback to what it was like in the 90's film making vibe - which leads to his unique EP cover. The vivacious madness that inspires these antics is the same that has propelled SIHK’s rising star in the dance music universe.

Snapshots from SIHK's promo video skits - Epic Side Quest EP
Named for SIHK’s love of Skyrim and an inside joke with members of Barong Family, Epic Side Quest thrusts listeners into the middle of the action from the outset. The opener, “Yoyo,” strikes immediately with a furious ambush of bass and riotous synths. A raw, industrial energy follows in the genre-smearing “Money,” a collab with label-mate RayRay that reminds listeners that this quest is and always will be about one thing—dat money. Like an interstellar mercenary, SIHK Shanghais us off-world with “Space Flamingo,” an ethereal exploration of bass that’s more than suitable for space-travel. We come roaring back to earth with a middle-eastern flair in the closer, “Bounce to This”—an aptly named track that will undoubtedly bounce all booties without prejudice.

It doesn't stop there! This soaring artist hailing from Indonesia continues to astonish his fans with his high-energy live sets, as you may have catch him pumping up the crowds across Asia, with his recent Festival at Siam Songkran and It’s The Ship.
