Daddy's Groove: Been a Long Time - Heldeep rec

23/3/2019

Picture
Famed Italian DJ/producer act Daddy's Groove returns with its new single 'Been A Long Time', released on Oliver Heldens' label Heldeep. The guys already loved the original vocal from the 90's and wanted to create something with it for a long time.

Now it's finally time to release the result: a deep house track filled with catchy vocal snippets, amazing basslines and uplifting, feelgood melodies.
Through Daddy’s Groove's creativity, we finally get a track which feels unrestrained and liberated – a feeling which translates well into the minds of listeners.
Interestingly, there’s not always just the main melody to focus on. In the opening, fluttering voice are played underneath synth, whilst in the choruses, multiple tunes combine with a steady beat to create a busy but vibrant hook of euphoric proportions.
"Been a long time" it delivers an imaginative, uplifting and standout vibe and returns us to the dance styles we don’t hear enough of in this genre.

Attendees of Asia’s Largest Electronic Music Conference + Festival had the chance to experience the different exciting activities including: panel discussions, workshops and masterclasses, keynote presentations, the latest tech and gear Exhibition, and priceless networking opportunities set up by the WMW Foundation. Did we mention the crazy after-parties that happened every night after the daytime conference? It was a well-balanced effort to ensure the best of both worlds to our delegates this 2019.

The locals’ top picks were the Demodrop and 1-on-1 Advice Sessions; it allowed attendees to present their masterpieces and potentially get signed by major labels. The labels and brands present included: Barong Family, Warner Asia, Spinnin Records, Armada Music, Revealed Recordings, 2-Dutch Music Group, Empire, Klash, Cinematik, Jakd, Vocal Kitchen, The Power House, 1001 Tracklists, Moon Jelly Agency, and Future House Music.

Stream “Madagascar”

If there was ever a song to get you in the mood for festival season, it’s this monstrous single from artists Mad M.A.C. & Flaremode titled “Madagascar”. It just released today via Smash The House and may just be each of these artists biggest release yet!

It’s electrifying right from the start, building into a highly energetic drop that can’t help but get your heart racing. Powerful brass stabs weave in and out of the arrangement as an electrifying lead thunders through. You can expect to hear “Madagascar” in heavy rotation all year long, especially at Ultra in just a few weeks.

This collaboration has been in high anticipation ever since the guys teamed up for their beautiful remix last year to Angemi’s “Show Your Flame”, also on Smash The House. Since then, both artists have showed no signs of slowing down. Flaremode recently released their anthem “Dolci Pensieri” with Jean Marie that charted for 2 weeks into Psy Trance top 10. MAD M.A.C played at Tomorrowland and at Ushuaia Ibiza’s Garden of Madness and has big plans for 2019.

Above & Beyond vs Armin van Buuren

4/3/2019

Picture
For so many years, fans have been dreaming of a legendary link-up between Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren, and that moment has finally arrived today. As the long-anticipated, first-ever collaboration between the iconic trio and the five-time #1 DJ in the world, ‘Show Me Love’ is an instant fan favorite, paving the way for – hopefully – many more future link-ups between the fellow Grammy nominees and electronic music flagbearers.

Listen to Above & Beyond vs Armin van Buuren – Show Me Love

Premiered live on stage at A State Of Trance 900 in Utrecht, the Netherland, the biggest indoor Trance event in the world, ‘Show Me Love’ is the manifestation of what could be the most awe-inspiring dance music pairing of the decade. Juggling impactful, arena-shuddering rhythmics, a gorgeous, piano-led breakdown and a heavenly melody engineered for excitement, this brand-new collaborative record is everything fans wanted it to be: a magnificent, evergreen Trance cut that bridges the gap between Anjunabeats and Armada Music.

Above & Beyond: “We’ve always been welcomed by the Armada Music and A State Of Trance family worldwide. Having shared many stages with Armin, it was great to finally get in a studio together to swap ideas, and ‘Show Me Love’ came together really organically.”

Armin van Buuren: “The guys from Above & Beyond and I exchanged a few remixes back in the early 2000s, and we really enjoyed working together. Despite that, we never linked up in the following years, until now. I think that ‘Show Me Love’ can play a big part in uniting fans from all over the world and I hope it will spark a beautiful collaborative era between us and our respective labels.”
