It will no doubt be one of the largest celebrations of dance music and associated culture of all time. The event will once again be an 18+ event as the festival has been for several years.

In 2017 the festival was attended by 165,000 people from over 60 countries. ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2017 REPORTS NO DEATHS; MASSIVE DECREASE IN ARRESTS

29/3/2017

Picture
Everyone has heard the horror stories; music festivals can be an arena for druggies to run rampant and feel the vibes of the environment, surmounting in a cesspool of arrests, overdoses, and aggressive breakouts.
Luckily, that wasn’t the case at this year’s wildly popular—150,000 attendees—Ultra Music Festival in Miami at Bayfront Park. From 67 arrests last year and 81 in 2014, there were only 35 this year, almost a 50% decrease.
“Education, co-operation and everybody is maturing,” said Miami police Lt. Freddie Cruz.
There have been implications made by the venue coordinators to counteract the risky business by upholding the previously instated 18+ entrance and allowing only water and fannypacks to allowed inside the park.
They also hoped by raising the price of tickets and surrounding hotels that it would filter out some of the minors and irresponsible festival-goers.
After the 2014 Ultra incident, when security guard Ericka Mack was trampled by fans who mutilated the barring fences, festival correspondents made sure to install more a more protective fence system.
Not to mention the theme of the festival itself: enjoy the music without being under the influence. The festival affiliated with Baptist Health, which were there to aid for substance abuse. The Department of Health also handed out more than 41,000 condoms to prevent unsafe sex.
Miami Fire Rescue had very few transports, mainly dehydration and sprained ankle cases, with 48 total calls.
Hopefully, this dramatic decrease will continue for years to come, as it created a happy, healthy, and safer environment for ravers all across the world.

The event artists line up starts with world renowed DRIFT MOON. He just performed with his outstanding performance during last TRANSMISSION BANGKOK on 10 March 2017. So far every track by Driftmoon (including Drifter, Exodus, Leviticus, Howl At The Moon, Cama) have rocked planet trance and been supported by Armin van Buuren on ASOT, earning Future Favourite and Tune Of The Week status on more than one occasion. Not only the king of trance but Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz, W&W, Solarstone, Jorn Van Deynhoven, Max Graham and the best of the rest are now hooked on Driftmoon’s phenomenal sounds.

Followed by EDDIE BITAR with his debut performance in Malaysia. He has established himself in amongst the ranks of the world’s most respected DJs. Born in Canada but with Lebanese roots, Eddie’s sound of futuristic cutting edge trance, that seamlessly blends the best elements from tech and psy, has seen him receive huge support from the likes of Armin Van Bureen, Paul Van Dyke, Simon Patterson  John O’Callaghan, Aly & Fila and many more.

SAM JONES is best track is impossible to state because there are almost 3 sub-styles he tends to produce, for example "No Angel" is a no-hold-bars Tech Trance monster, "Charlie Charlie" is a full-on Psy-Trance banger full of dark energy, and "Buckle Up" is a peak time synth explosion of uplifting melodies and epic breakdown. If you're after a 'pure Trancer' then his collaboration with Will Rees "Oversight" is top-notch; if I had to pick a track it would probably be this one, the breakdown is just classic Trance and the main lead is brilliant - a true Trance Anthem and perfect ending to a late night.

DARREN PORTER. Over the last few years Darren has built a steady reputation for driving and hard euphoric uplifting remixes known to deliver huge energy, all his remixes have been supported by some of the biggest DJ’s on the planet. 2011 was a monumental year for Darren Porter – winning the title “Tough as Titanium track of the Week” for his monster chart topping release “Daytona” – Signing his collaboration track “Springs Scent” to Sean Tyas’ label Titanium Recordings which was tracklisted at ASOT500. Since Darren has released top original tracks such as “Terraforming”, “Spellbound” and The “Oracle” as well as collaborations with Ferry Tayle on “Neptunes Legacy” and ReOrder on “The Void” which was released on Armada’s Who’s Afraid of 138 Label.

EXIS (known as Feliciano Moody) is an Australian producer and DJ. The year 2017 has already started out with a massive impact with his remix for Armin van Buuren’s ‘I Live For That Energy’ ASOT 800 Anthem. It was played to thousands of people at the ASOT 800 Festival in Utrecht. This without a doubt has put his name on the global scale along with many other artists. In 2016, Exis also made huge career leaps as his track 'The Count' [Who's Afraid Of 138?! (Armada)] and ‘Anywhere (Exis Remix)’ [Universal Nation] both reached #1 on the Beatport Trance charts. Having two consecutive #1 tracks in a row, both tracks were also played on Armin's A State of Trance radio show three times and voted as Future Favourites. 'The Count' was played at renowned events such as Electronic Family and Tomorrowland while ‘Anywhere’ was played at Dreamstate and many more. Exis also remixed Orjan Nilsen's 'Violetta' early in 2016 which gained a great amount of support and reached #19 in the charts.

27/3/2017

Picture
Ellen Allien has announced her next album, 'Nost', will drop via her BPitch Control label on 12th May.
A prolific producer — this will be Allien's seventh solo album (eighth overall following 2006's 'Orchestra Of Bubbles' LP with Apparat) — the techno stalwart harnesses nostalgia to direct her new release, hence the name 'Nost'.
Allien's 25 years as a staple of the Berlin scene informs her sound, resulting in her first club-focused album since 2010's 'Dust'.
Offering nine tracks, LP is said to offer "the quintessential sound of Berlin ... brooding, sinister at times and utterly lascivious", which sonically translates to raw analogue synthwork, industrial atmospheres and acidic touches, alongside her signature vocal additions.
Check out clips and the full tracklist below.
