Moving around the globe, and recently hitting the underground scenes in Goa and Bangkok, the Future Rising team from Mixcloud in partnership with W Hotels have been wooing the local residents, media and all out music junkies with their showcase of local talent.
The next event stage to take effect in Hong Kong’s Kowloon Peninsula is sure to have as much of an impact on the globe as the recent ventures, bringing the cities vibrant music scene into the forefront public eye internationally.
Already featured in regional press and synonymous with the unique basement sound of the city due to their recent release of their first LP come Record Label SilkRoad Sounds aimed at promoting Yeti Out beyond the confines of the avid international fanbase they have already established. And not to miss out on an opportunity, the team of producers, DJ’s and basement jacks will be bringing a little of their magic to the upcoming event.
Other major players of the homegrown variety will be taking to the stage also, bringing a flavor of their own and as they flaunt their skills behind the stacks. Spinning up the atmosphere on the night will be Delf; best known for his lo-fi beats blending trip-hop and trap. Front man of indie band NI.NE.MO and the Living Discoheads, Tedman Lee will be donning his DJ hat throwing down a signature dose of disco, jersey club, trap, bass,
and chillwave. Alos hitting up the boomboxes is contemporary group - Absurd Trax - a collab of DJs, Producers and MCs bring their take on the movement within the cities underground club scene.
But it isn’t all just about the DJ’s, nope, there will be performances from well known MCs more Hip Hop in their nature and an indie band to rock the night to another level, plus workshops and possibly a few surprises in tow if the recent event in Bangkok is anything to go by. And trust me on this, if you love music, then you ’ll want to secure your place before the night is packed out. It is a wonderland for any muso, and the treats of the night aren’t exclusive to the music, allowing you to get up close and personal with the future stars that each event creates, plus as a budding producer - there is a lot to learn in these kinds of environments.
