Best friends 3LAU (Justin Blau) and Justin Caruso share not only a name, but also a love for uplifting electronic music. They have traveled the world together playing stages and festivals across the globe and more recently, the duo found themselves in a studio in L.A. where they produced their first collab, 'Better With You'. The song's message, delivered by Norwegian singer-songwriter Iselin (best known for lending her vocals to Alan Walker's 'Faded'), is universal, describing the important relationships we have with friends, family, collaborators and more.
Listen to 3LAU & Justin Caruso feat. Iselin – Better With You
A gorgeous blend of addictive pop and rousing dance music with Iselin's spot-on vocals wedged in between, 'Better With You' shows all the hallmarks of a global smash song. Starting off with gentle piano and guitar before erupting into summer-tinged magic, this song demonstrates massive airwave potential while simultaneously staking its claim as a crowd favorite in the festival circuit.
3LAU: "Justin Caruso and I met years ago, and when we sat down to write 'Better With You' together, we wanted to capture the essence of dance music culture with the song. Dance music is all about sharing experiences with the people you love, the same way DJs all support each other's music, and best friends get to escape frustrations of daily life at live shows. We really hope you like this one, and shout out to Iselin who wrote an incredibly beautiful vocal."
Justin Caruso: "'Better With You' is one of my favorite songs I've worked on yet. 3LAU and I have been like brothers for the last three years, so to finally release a song together is really special! This song can be viewed from so many perspectives, from a couple or family to a relationship with a pet. I think that makes this song really unique."
Having just announced his return to Ultra Music Festival Miami, Justin Blau (3LAU) is regarded as one of electronic music's most talented individuals for a reason. Throughout his blossoming career, he has released a string of head-turning records, including 'How You Love Me', 'Is It Love', 'Fire', 'Ultraviolet' lead single 'Touch' (#1 iTunes Electronic chart) and multi-million-stream remixes for pop icons such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes and Ariana Grande. Outside of the studio, 3LAU has also built his reputation as a must-see live performer, appearing at major festivals such as Electric Zoo, EDC Vegas, Lollapalooza and Life Is Beautiful while touring extensively on an international scale.
Justin Caruso has been pursuing his dream of being a producer since he was 14. He spent his first few years of college balancing a full course load at the University of Southern California, touring the country with 3LAU, and releasing original content, gathering millions of streams. Soon after dropping out of school to pursue his passion, he was playing top festivals across the U.S., opening for NGHTMRE and The Chainsmokers, and touring with Tiësto. Since then, Justin has continued to tour the country and work with new artists in diverse genres.

Over 35,000 trance lovers from more than 100 countries were in attendance at Utrecht's Jaarbeurs venue on Saturday night as global dance event organizer ALDA hosted a night that was brimming with an electric atmosphere, surprises and magical moments, at A State of Trance 900. The event broke multiple records with it selling out 7 weeks in advance.
Marking the milestone occasion for the ASOT series, the sold-out showpiece saw a variety of acts join Armin van Buuren in his native Netherlands as ravers danced the night away, joined by the unity of global trance families and a mutual love of music. 12 million trance lovers from 161 countries worldwide followed the event on ASOT.TV which brought the energy of the night directly to their homes. During the night's live radio broadcast Armin announced the massive news that ASOT will be taking place in the Bay Area in the United States on 29th of June 2019. The new show is part of the ASOT 900 world tour which will stop off in Madrid, Ultra Miami, Kiev, and Tomorrowland.
Armin performed 3 times across the course of the night as part of the 'Lifting You Higher' theme, including a special return to the Who's Afraid of 138?!stage for the first time since ASOT 650. Attendees were treated to a full range of the DJ's most iconic anthems from his vast back-catalogue, as well as more recent fan favorites and previews of future hits. One of the highlights of the festival occurred when Above & Beyond joined Armin on stage to premiere their first ever collaboration, 'Show Me Love'. The brand new track effortlessly fuses influences from both artists, resulting in a huge trance anthem that provoked a monumental crowd reaction at ASOT 900. Above & Beyond also took to the stage to deliver their own phenomenal performance, which was balanced perfectly between the emotional and euphoric. During the set, the trio were also confirmed to play at Electronic Family, the largest outdoor trance festival in Europe, on July 20th in the Netherlands.
Filling the ASOT Mainstage arena with a rapturous set abundant with dynamic transitions and an array of their most anthemic hits, German duo Cosmic Gate helped deliver a night of unrivalled energy to the thousands in attendance. The rippling blasts of psy-trance act Vini Vici also proved a particular highlight. With the likes of Estiva, FUTURECODE, and MaRLo all spinning massive sets to the packed crowd, the venue's dynamic design and pyrotechnics left ravers captivated.
Another record-breaking ALDA event packed with moments that will live long in the memory, A State Of Trance 900 proved to be 2019's biggest dance event so far, cementing the unrivalled legacy of both Armin van Buuren and A State of Trance.

ARMIN VAN BUUREN ENCOURAGES SINGLES WITH ATYPICAL VALENTINE'S DAY SONG: 'LONELY FOR YOU' (FEAT. BONNIE MCKEE)
Especially after a love-scented day as Valentine's Day, it's important not to forget that everyone deserves a bit of love. So, to warm the hearts of not only couples, but also of everyone still looking to find that special someone, Armin van Buuren has unleashed a brand-new single – and accompanying music video – that no amount of lit candles and rose petals can compete with: 'Lonely For You' (feat. Bonnie McKee).
Listen to Armin van Buuren feat. Bonnie McKee – Lonely For You
Watch the official music video here
An atypical love song so many people can draw strength from, Armin van Buuren's 'Lonely For You' is empowering in its own unique way. Featuring Bonnie McKee's dynamic and emotional vocals that blend superbly with the mash of poppy chords and drum and bass-inspired rhythms, this track puts Armin van Buuren's experimental side in the limelight in the best possible way.
Armin van Buuren: "'Lonely For You' was written with the lovely Bonnie McKee. For me, it resembles the struggles we all face with and in relationships, ups and downs. I think it was appropriate to release it around Valentine's Day!"
Bonnie McKee: "Lonely For You' is a song about recovering from losing someone, picking up the pieces and putting one foot in front of the other to move on from them – almost. Sometimes, we are able to logically talk ourselves out of loving someone, and even feel relieved that they're gone...but in the lonely hours of darkness in the still of the night, those feelings can creep up from the shadows and suck us back into the trap of missing that someone, even if we know they're not right for us."
American singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee is no stranger to the upper reaches of the music industry. Throughout her blossoming career, she has (co-)written songs for global superstars such as Katy Perry ('Part Of Me', 'Wide Awake', 'California Girls', Teenage Dream' and 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)'), Taio Cruz ('Dynamite'), Britney Spears ('Hold It Against Me'), Elliot Yamin, Rita Ora, Ke$ha, Cheryl, Adam Lambert and Rusko. Now, she teams up with none other than Grammy-nominated, five-time #1 DJ in the world Armin van Buuren for a wonderful single that's bound to ignite a fiery passion in listeners worldwide.

Nearly 21 years ago Stardust put out their timeless single, “Music Sounds Better With You”. It’s an immaculate tune that still reverberates at clubs and festivals to this day, and holds a special place in Petey Mac’s heart.
Coming off of a big year in 2018, the young Seattle-based artist established himself with big singles like “Dirty Birdz”, “Every Other Night”, and a remix for the grammy award winning Mr. Talkbox. His music earned club and radio play all over the world, with support from Daddy’s Groove, Billboard Radio, Data Transmission, and Shane 54.
He’s back and better than ever, kicking off 2019 with a brand new remix, dusting off this classic from Stardust in perfect fashion. The arrangement grips you right from the start, featuring careful sampling and an intoxicating groove that is going to shake dance floors all around the world.
“This remix is really special to me because this song is one of the reasons I got into producing house music in the first place. There’s so much soul and groove and just heart in it. I wanted to pay homage to it and also put a little spin on it. I’m really happy with the end result and cannot wait to share this with everyone!”
Petey Mac’s remix to “Music Sounds Better With You” will be released worldwide Friday, 2/1. Stream it below!

Carl Cox returns to San Francisco on March 22nd to perform at the Midway to raise funds for his theme camp, Playground. All proceeds go toward the camp with all DJ's donating their services. The fundraiser is the only such event done for the benefit of the theme camp and will be one of only a handful of US performances that Carl will do in 2019.
This will be his first US show of 2019.
Carl & the Playground Camp
Carl has become a fixture at the counter-culture event going on ten years now, and has a special place in his heart and mind for the both people and the experience itself. He knew after his first Burning Man experience, that he had the soul of a burner and vowed to attend every Burning Man he could.
Carl started his Playground Camp as a way to celebrate all that Burning Man is, and as a way to give back to a culture that he loves. It started small and most who landed in the camp that first year were those just passing by to get someplace else, but the music and vibe pulled them in. From that humble start it has steadily grown over the years and in a very organic way because the energy, music and people are what makes Playground so special. Each year the camp receives hundreds of requests to join and Carl makes every effort to include as many new members as possible.
When Carl returns to the playa with Playground this year, you can expect that he will make the experience unforgettable in every way possible and put every bit of raised funds toward an even more amazing production than last year. From Playground's welcoming lounge area with space to chill and drinks on tap, to the now iconic Arrival stage, you can bet that Carl and the whole Playground team are always striving to deliver an immersive experience to remember forever.
Carl counts his time in Black Rock City as some of the best times in his life.
Please join Carl Cox on March 22nd at the Midway in San Francisco for a night filled with family, music and the best vibes on planet earth.
While they last, you can get your tickets here
The myth of lucky is now a childish story. It was very useful for the major companies of the music industry to sustain that fairy tale concept so the investments in this sector would be through them. Most people in general, including some people that work with music, don't see this industry as profitable as Tech and Startups because most strategies and companies in the music sector don't share their studies and projects. It's not seeing as a popular investors sector, because it lacks of popular information. So every success is covered by untangible adjectives instead of clear study and improvement. But as the music industry had to evolve and accept technology not only on the production area but the distribution too, the numbers started to show and they are so big that is impossible to buy the idea of " You just need to find the talent " or "Good music speaks for itself " when you see that major companies invest 4.5 billion of dollars in marketing and A&R per year, so 26% of their music revenues goes to this sector, also pointing the average investment in the marketing and promotional sector is US$200,000 to 700,000 for a single emerging artist. If it speaks for itself why they invest more in marketing and promotion than the US$150,000 to 500,000 that is the average investment in the music production of the same emerging artist. You don't often see people talking about that music companies are spending more on consumer insights to take more advantage of marketing platforms, that one of the keys of using streaming services is to have target in a more effective way individual groups of consumers... And just by knowing that "The major labels combined have around 7,500 artists on their rosters and tens of thousands more are signed to independent labels." - IFPI - and the total investment in average to an emerging artist is US$500,000 to 2.000,000, is very weird that this is not a headline. If this is the usual cost of one of the 7,500 artists and is spend 4.5 billion per year in this sector, how much should be the profits? How much should be profits over a song, over a hit, since US$150,000 to 500,000 is invested on an album of 8 to 14 songs but only 2 to 3 songs will be really considered to be a hit. How many incomes a single artist can make that worths this usual investment in new names per year? Is not enough saying that the opportunities for incomes over the artist are really huge from live to merchandising. It needs to be clear that independent record labels are now startups, and more than 54% of our revenues are digital, we are the art with technology, not only on the distribution but also in the performances. Remembering that a song can earn royalties for more than a lifetime and faster than most products of most of the other industries since the payout of streaming is every 3 months and a good strategy, might take a song to more than 1.000,000 plays in a month, on an emerging artist. This represents one of the incomes and how fast is profitable without considering performing rights, tours and many others.
I'm 25 years old, I'm an artist of EDM, singer, songwriter, producer, writer, and columnist, I own a record label in the USA and one in Italy, and I've studied the music market for the last 5 years, my experience varied from independent to major record labels, from South America, Europe, and US market. I'm an insider, but many of these numbers are free knowledge, I'm just saying that things evolve and this is a Tech and Startup business, the strategy is successful, but some crazy ones wants more. I'm not afraid to reveal what is there, because entrepreneurs like myself want more.
