Amsterdam-based DJ Mike Mago has joined forces with the talented Tom Ferry to release 'Remedy', featuring ILY, out now via BMKLTSCH RCRDS. The track combines a hypnotic vocal chorus and deep thumping bassline to create an upbeat summer anthem.
With experience in both deeper house music, as well as mainstream sounds, Dutch producer and label owner Mike Mago has become known for his musical diversity. In 2014 Mago released 'Outlines' which turned gold in three countries, and went double platinum in his native Netherlands. The track gained over 10 million YouTube views and over 20 million Spotify plays. Mike also boasts remixes for the likes of Ellie Goulding, Avicii, Clean Bandit, and Bastille.
Currently in the midst of his summer schedule, Mago delivers ‘Remedy’ fresh off the back of his outstanding set on the Heldeep stage at Tomorrowland. Co-producer Tom Ferry has enjoyed a rapid rise through UK house, experiencing chart success with tracks such as ‘Plateau’, ‘Ur Love’ and ‘Out Of Sight’. Releasing with Armada Music, Ultra Music and Universal Music Group, he has accumulated millions of plays across YouTube and SoundCloud in the process. His recent original track 'By My Side', which features vocals from X-factor Australia alumni Michaela Baranov, has caught fire with support by Sam Feldt and Bakermat and we look forward to the Liverpudlian’s next venture.
Joining the duo on the track is ILY, a singer and songwriter born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Her first release was a collaboration with Swedish house producers Albin Myers and John Dahlback, a song called ‘Vibe’, which became the anthem for Sweden’s biggest house festival "Summerburst" in 2015. She received critical acclaim for her single "Magic" with support from blogs all over the world, and new material and exciting collaborations coming up, ILY is ready to make a big impact on the pop music scene.

We met Mike during Tomorrowland and we had the chance to ask him few questions:
When and Why everything started for you?
I actually started playing because all my friends were DJs playing Hip hop, it used to be a Hip-hop kind of thing. They were always playing Hip-hop record and I was really into collecting the funks samples that were used on Hip-hop. To kinda like forming my habits, I started to play at pubs just to play whole night funk for 15 euros, so I could buy two more records and that's what I did. And slowly I started to play in more clubs, and this was like 20 years ago. I started to notice that when you play in clubs it's easier and better if you mix it a little bit with electronic and then I develop being a promoter for a long time as well and then I started my label BMKLTSCH RCRDS and them I started producing and then kind started to pick ups. I was producing for 3 years when "Outlines" came, to it was really fast.
About your crossing border EP and your song "Feel So Good" that is the Lit song right? There was premiered on Billboard. So what's the story about it?
With the crossing borders, I wanted to make like an EP that displays kind of the white skill I'm in, so I have one more ground track, one more indie with a singer and "Feel So Good" with is bit more up lifting hards track. My main goal is letting people know that when they come to gig of mine they won't only hear "Feel So Good" or "Outlines" but I also like and play more deeper darker stuff. But obviously "Feel So Good" is in, it's a little bit more energetic and it just started with the vocal that I got from the writer, a Sweden and I thought it was really catchy and started building a track around it. So the track was done and I say let's go and then I made a mistake by looping the Feel So Good drop. We call it the happy accident.
What are your next steps now?
I just released a tracy on Spinning called "One in a Trillion" which I'm gonna play today as well. We are going to released the music video of this one, the guy who made this music video is the camera guy for Oliver Heldens, so he's gonna be here, so Im; going to see the video today for the first time but Oliver Heldens already saw it. So I'm the third one to see it. Spoiler Alert! I have another track coming on my lanel BMKLTSCH RCRDS Records which I'm going to premier today as well. I hope the reactions gonna be nice.
How are you feeling playing in Tomorrowland?
Obviously I'm exited, I mean the Meca of of Dance festivals I think, specially now a days when they do it in more locations at the same time. I'm so bloom away by how big the event is because, like five years ago I played here and I didn't know so much about the festival, I played on a stage for like hundred people and I thought I had done really well. I was really happy and then somebody said "You finished now, let's walk around! " so we went to the main stage and I was like "Woww!! This is insane! my set was good but this is insane!" So after that I played every year and I'm just amazed by the festival. I'm pretty happy to play at Heldeep now because the artist are pretty similar to my sound and this is it. For me is what I am the best. I'm just going to enjoy and love every moment.
